Senate, District 14


Sen. Sarah Eckhardt was elected the Senator for Bastrop and Travis Counties in July of 2020. After receiving an LBJ School Master of Public Affairs and law degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998, Eckhardt worked for eight years as an assistant Travis County Attorney. From 2006-2013 she served as Travis County Commissioner. From 2015-2020, she served as the Travis County Judge presiding over the Commissioners Court. She served on the Transportation Policy Board of the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization and Project Connect.  She is chair-elect of the Texas Conference of Urban Counties. She is a member of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and has led efforts to create Travis County’s first Public Defender’s Office.

House of Representatives, District 47


Rep. Vikki Goodwin is serving her second term representing Texas House District 47 and represents precincts in Circle C. As owner of Goodwin & Goodwin Real Estate Inc., she has been in the Austin real estate market for 15 years. She also has served on a number of boards, including Shady Hollow Homeowners Association vice president, the South Austin Civic Club treasurer, the Oak Hill Association of Neighborhoods and on committees within the Austin Board of Realtors. She has also been a member of Impact Austin, South Austin Neighborhood Association, and the Metropolitan Breakfast Club. In 2010, Austin Habitat for Humanity awarded her for management of the Family Section Committee. She is also a member of the Austin Chamber of Commerce, Austin Independent School District UpClose & Strategic Plan, Silver Star Booster Club, Monaco Homeowners Association, Foundation Communities, Central Texas Food Bank and Meals on Wheels.  She has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s of Public Affairs from UT’s LBJ School of Public Affairs.

House of Representatives, District 48


Rep. Donna Howard has served in the Texas House of Representatives since 2006. She represents precincts in the Oak Hill part of Southwest Austin. She is a member of the House Appropriations Committee and State Affairs Committee. Previously, she worked as a critical care nurse at Brackenridge and Seton hospitals, and served as Austin’s first hospital-based Patient Education Coordinator. Donna is a past president of the Texas Nurses Association and was a health education instructor at the University of Texas at Austin. She was elected to the Eanes ISD board in West Austin for the 1996-1999 term. She has served on the boards of Austin Area Interreligious Ministries, Common Cause Texas, Texas Freedom Network, and the Texas Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy. She now serves as a board member of the Expanding Horizons Foundation, supporting low-income housing and education. Donna earned a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a Master’s degree in health education from the University of Texas.
